When Can I Play ?

Summer 2011

Our summer season club activities begin the first Monday in April.  Organised activities are as follows:-

• Monday evening - Coaching 6.30 - 8.00pm £5 with our coach Richard.  Also Ladies home matches from 6.30pm. (See The Seasons Fixtures on the Team News menu for dates)
• Tuesday evening - Social mixed from 6.30pm.  Also Mixed home matches from 6.30pm. (See The Seasons Fixtures on the Team News menu for dates)
• Wednesday morning - Mixed foursome on a rota basis (1 court) - 9.30-11.00am.   
• Wednesday evening - Men's Team Tennis from 6.00pm
• Thursday evening - Men's night from 6.00pm
• Friday morning - Mixed foursome on a rota basis - 9.30-11.00am (1 court)
• Saturday afternoon - Men's home matches from 2.00pm (See The Seasons Fixtures on the Team News menu for dates)
• Sundays - Cardio Tennis 4.30 - 6.00pm £5 with our coach Richard

The 4 outside courts are also used during the day by schools during the summer term:

• Mondays - 10.55 - 11.55am and 1.25 - 2.25pm 
• Tuesdays - 1.25 - 2.25pm

The evening activities generally do not use all five courts.  The remaining courts are therefore free for use by any members.  Outside these organised times, courts can also be used by members, but club protocol is that a court should be vacated after 1 hour if other members are waiting to play.  You can however book a court using our 'bookit' system - (See Booking a Court on the Facilities and Courts menu)

Winter Tennis

Various rotas are organised for the indoor court during the winter - see the current 2011/12 Indoor Court Timetable under 'Facilities and Courts' to find out when these sessions generally are.  We also have 4 outdoor courts (2 have lighting) which can be booked using the 'bookit' system - see the 'Booking a Court' page under 'Facilities and Courts'.  Otherwise the outside courts can be used on a first come first served basis (note outside lights cannot be used after 10pm).

When the indoor court isn't booked, it can also be used, but the court should be vacated after 1 hour if other members are waiting to play. Use our 'bookit' booking system to book the court (See Booking a Court on the Facilities and Courts menu)

We also have a winter in-house singles league. Games are arranged when convenient to both members. Click on the Winter Tennis page under 'Facilities and Courts' for further information.

Winter 2009/10 Armley entered a friendly mixed doubles league against other clubs. Matches were played outside, either on Wednesday or Thursday evenings. Again click on the Winter Tennis page under 'Facilities and Courts' and scroll to the bottom for further information.
